Diagnostics and Lab Services

A quicker diagnosis leads to more immediate treatment. When your pet isn’t feeling their best, we can call upon the information gathered from your pet’s annual visits and figure out what’s “off” from the baseline we’ve built for their health. Once we can determine the issue, our diagnostic team gets to work!

We’re equipped with an in-house laboratory that can screen your pet’s blood for diseases or issues with immediate results as you wait. We can also obtain urine samples for urinalysis and culture, tapping growths and masses for cytology analysis, and joint fluid samples, all of which may be needed for the diagnostic evaluation of specific health issues.

Outside Lab Service

Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital works alongside VDX, a special lab that only does cytology. Our team works with a special lab that only does cytology VDX for cytology and cancer screening tests.
